Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng is a lawyer by profession and an Investment Banker with over sixteen years’ experience. He worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant from 1998. In 2000, he joined Ecobank Ghana, where he worked extensively in mid and senior management roles across the retail, corporate banking and legal divisions of the Bank.


He later served as one of the Bank’s lawyers dealing exclusively with corporate, mining and oil and gas transactions including the setup of the Ecobank support office in Beijing China.


Edward also worked with Access Bank Ghana as Group Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking before moving to Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited as Head of the Energy, Oil & Gas and Mining Division in 2012 where he structured oil and gas transactions in excess of US$ 500 Million between 2012 and 2015.


Edward is currently the consultant for the Energy, Oil and Gas Business for Genghis Capital Limited (Dubai and Kenya) which is an affiliate of the Chase Bank Group and serves as the Group Head for Energy, Oil & Gas for both entities.


Edward is a member of the Ghana Bar Association; Member of the English and Welsh Bar and the Honorable Society of Lincolns Inn (UK). He holds an LLB and Master of Laws (LLM) in International Banking and Finance from Leeds University (UK), a Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade and Corporate Law from BPP Law School (UK) and a BA (Hons) from the University of Ghana. He has addressed a number of international conferences mainly on corporate strategy, renewable energy, oil and gas, and on doing business in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
